Frankenstein comment:

This spectacular book is about a monster that had a difficult life and suffers by a strict society which ostracism is normal to people who do not behave as expected by society. The greatest issue of this creative story lets the reader makes the connection between the author’s life and the monster experiences, feelings and thoughts. The connection adds more beauty to the Frankenstein book.

the author had a powerful stigma from the beginning of her days. And she was considered like a monster by the society of those times, because her life was full of immoral issues I mean they were immoral for those times but also her life was full of knowledege and culture. This positive enviroment contributed to Mary became in a marvelous writer.

Hi María José,
You are right in that society may "punish" people who don´t behave as expected. Even today we find examples of that, don´t you think?.

About the author and her creation, yes, it´s very likely that Mary Shelley herself felt rejected by society because of her choices and background. But to say that she was considered a monster is a little too drastic I think.

You make a very good point at the end of your reflection by touching upon the issue of the unusual way Mary Shelley was raised. The fact that she was surrounded by such rich cultural environment impacted her life in various ways. This is clearly shown in her writing. The sources and inspiration she uses to write Frankenstein were not supposed to be that of a woman. That´s why many people at the time the novel was published, believed it had been written by a man.
